ECKOO partners with schools to deliver high-quality ICT support that keeps classrooms running and students learning. We’re looking for a School Technical Officer who enjoys
problem-solving, working across different environments, and being the person people
rely on when technology matters most.
What your day might look like:
- Supporting teachers and staff with real-time IT issues
- Setting up and maintaining devices that enable learning
- Troubleshooting everything from Wi‑Fi connectivity to interactive classroom technology
- Working across multiple school environments
- Being the first point of contact when something needs fixing—fast
- Collaborating with teachers and leadership on ICT projects and planning, helping design and implement technology solutions that enable more effective digital teaching and learning outcomes
Key Responsibilities
Device & Equipment Management
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, AV equipment, interactive panels, CCTV systems, and mPOS devices
- Manage operating system installations and coordinate hardware repairs
- Troubleshoot technical issues via face‑to‑face, phone, and remote support
- Maintain ICT asset registers and manage the equipment lifecycle
- Take a proactive approach to ICT support—moving beyond break/fix by identifying improvement opportunities, using creative problem‑solving, and implementing
solutions that create a more reliable, well‑supported IT environment for staff and students
General IT Support
- Respond to Help Desk and school‑based support requests
- Communicate clearly with teachers, school staff, and internal teams
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and practical technical advice
- Support continuous improvement and optimisation of ICT environments
- Work collaboratively with the ICT team on planned improvements, contributing to
the successful delivery of improvement initiatives and helping plan ahead to proactively support future school needs

About You
You are someone who:
- Has experience in ICT support and device management
- Brings strong technical knowledge across systems, networks, and troubleshooting
- Communicates clearly and provides excellent customer service
- Can prioritise tasks and manage competing demands effectively
- Holds relevant certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or similar) — highly regarded
- Actively contributes to team knowledge‑sharing, mentoring others, and learning from peers to continuously improve team capability
