Palm Beach Touch Association is the most southern Touch Association in Queensland. They are a family friendly based club that provides many pathways from the social player to the Elite. Their competitions range from Social or Competitive Women’s, Men or Mixed to Girls & Boys Juniors to Women’s & Men’s Super Series to NRL League Touch. They are affiliated with Queensland Touch Football and Touch Football Australia.
BUSINESS OBJECTIVES
Palm Beach Touch were looking for a Scoreboard Solution that provides live updates on the teams that are playing on a specific field. The scoreboard system should allow Referees and Match Officials to manipulate the score according to what is happening within the game. The aim of this application is to also provide an electronic score card system, where administrators can export the information from the match summary.
CHALLENGES
Understanding the different processes within the business to help supplement what they have currently, as they use government provided software, where the application needs to tie into.
APP FEATURES
Administrator:
- Manage matches; add/edit/remove matches, location, date, time and teams participating.
- Manage teams and players; add/edit/remove
- Manage App Users; add/edit/remove users as well as assign permissions to specific users
- Access/export reports on matches
Referees:
- Select a match and add scores during a game.
- Select the team that has scored as well as select the player.
- Complete the match when the clock has hit ‘0’ and the game ends.
