QLD Ag Shows
A centralised application used by customers to view information regarding events and shows, as well as
purchase tickets, view and apply for jobs. This allows customers to have a unique experience and
understand that all shows and events are interconnected, and to let them book very easily. The admin
application will be used to manage and monitor information that is used by customers, as well as view
reporting and other information. This document further explains the objectives and functions of the
application and what it hopes to achieve.
BUSINESS OBJECTIVES
Queensland Ag Show run as the governing body to help all other Chambers to run a successful show or event. With the many challenges and issues that are faced everyday between Queensland Ag Show and all the other bodies of the organisation, it becomes quite taxing on all staff hours. The application hopes to provide a centralised location to help information be more streamlined and provide relief by cutting down and making processes easier to manage. The focus of the mobile application is to provide customers a central place of information to allow them to be able to search, find and book for an event or competition. The focus of the administration application is to help manage and run the mobile app by adding, editing, and updating the information that users will see, as well as providing information regarding ticket sales, financials and competition running. By delivering a streamline application Queensland Ag Show hope to create a better workplace within the organisation and provide value to their customers with an easy-to-use app that contains all information.
CHALLENGES
The scale of the application is the biggest challenge facing the project as Queensland Ag Shows is the governing body of all Show Societies, the stakeholders need to be informed of all changes, features and aspects of the application. Training staff required a huge effort as people needed to understand the changes in their business so its importance held a high risk within the organisation
